We're a very good hitting team - not Oklahoma deadly. but very good. The hitters have to come through - and not just Brady and Palacios, either - but as several of us have been saying all along, still seems to me it comes down to our pitching.

Can our young pitchers stay in the moment, in the single game in which they will be participating - one pitch at a time - or will the enormity of the moment overwhelm them?

They are both very good - the freshman, Terry, seems like she could become a great softball pitcher - but are they ready.

We have the capability of hitting against anyone. But can we keep especially Oklahoma but also Texas (whom i rank in that order) from overwhelming us in a barrage of long balls?

And can we continue the nearly perfect defensive play in the field that has marked our march to get better and better was the season has gone on?

I do a lot of volunteer stuff here - I'm slated to drive someone to a medical appointment at exactly the same time as our game kicks off so I'll be avoiding the internet and any possible spoilers as the game is played out tomorrow. But I'll be driving with my fingers crossed and pulling for our Bruins to pull the upsets and win our first NC of this current decade to keep our streak alive dating back to when softball became an NCAA championship sport in the 1980s when we dominated.

Looking forward to dominating again and this tournament is step one

Go Bruins

Enjoy the game, everyone
