Wyoming is very white, anti-federal, pro-gun, and deeply rural. About 62% of the state is Christian, and almost 12% is Mormon.
My wife grew up in a polygamist town in Utah. As Utah started becoming too liberal for her former classmates, many of them began moving away to recapture the sense of small-town America they grew up with—mostly heading to Idaho, but some to Wyoming.
For the most part, the people here are incredibly nice, but they would absolutely never consider voting Democratic. That said, there is a heavy darker side to the culture: you see a lot of marriages straight out of high school, alongside a shocking number of divorces driven by domestic abuse, and tragically high suicide rates.
