Core PPI at 4.7, forecast 4.6 but down from 5.1 the prior month. Overall PPI was up .4 higher than the forecasted .3 overall wholesale prices .2 up
CPI was lower than expected yesterday just slightly.
Forecasts all over the place on interest rates 3 of the fed members wanted to raise them last time, because CPI was ok speculation is we won't raise them but who knows Warsh made it clear it was on the table at least
My own personal experience drove to bay area and then to Oregon. gas in Elk Grove 5.39, in Sunnyvale 5.27 but found it cheaper later. Gas on th way paid 4.79 at Rolling HIlls casino then 4.69 at another stop in Grants pass. Seen it as low as 4.29 on the way to Tigard. It's UP in Oregon recently according to the news so I guess when it went up in California it did here too
