having an impression that a person may be gay is a sign of homophobia since they cannot disassociate that question from its negative connotations and can't imagine someone would take that impression with no value judgment attached to their gayness in and of itself.
As usual, people like wood regularly give away a lot about themselves in the way they connect any given two points.
