If El Sayed wins and Stevens supporters get so pissed off that they either sit out or vote for Rogers at the end, and El Sayed loses the election by that exact margin, the emerging mainstream Democratic narrative will be that it was all El Sayed's fault for winning the primary when Stevens was a more viable candidate (because Stevens supporters would have voted only for Stevens). But if Stevens wins, we'll hear "vote blue no matter who" up and down the state. That's how the Democratic mainstream rolls. They would rather lose an election than support a progressive candidate.

I hope I'm wrong.
