The police do not protect us.
It is only our communal RESPECT FOR THE LAW that protects us.
Donald Trump has never respected the law. And now that he is President, he has completely blown up the social contract that keeps our society functional.
It's a fact: Donald Trump wants the American taxpayers to pay lawbreakers, the ones that killed six police officers on Jan 6 (to be accurate, they died in the aftermath of the failed coup). Even more, he wants immunity for himself for his own transgressions.... for his past, present and future crimes.
Does any of this make sense to anyone with a brain?
Will the Republican lawmakers allow this travesty to be implemented? Will the courts block it? Will American voters finally decide enough is enough? Can the damage ever be un-done?
Is this really happening, right in front of our eyes?
