and I am not sure why it would be offensive or MAGA-like to point out that national polls are not meaningful predictors of election results simply because we do not elect our presidents through a popular vote like a rational democratic nation as opposed to the elaborate system by which we consistently subvert the will of the people.
If polls are predictors at all, they only work if you break them down across states. Otherwise, national polls are good for bragging rights or if the gap is large, taking a wild guess that the states would likely not swing too wildly in the other direction ... perhaps ....
That said, I'll take good national polls over bad national polls on any day.
