But social media are full of "LA/SF/CA/NYC is a shithole" right wing narratives. We don't need to stoop to that and respond in kind.
Regardless of how we feel about the residents of the places that the hurricane is poised to land, they deserve our support. I sure hope that people in red state do the same if a major earthquake hits California.
