It's just the prestige of the country we're talking about. All that means is we need to work hard to regain any respect we wish to recover as a nation. It's not going to come for free. If we've become the laughingstock of the world and we'll have to be paying political and economic consequences for it, god knows we deserve to be put in place at this point. It isn't just Trump btw. We also went through *two* terms of Bush. Having elected Obama two terms after that kinda patched that over, but for us to go back and do that again with even a worse president (which was hard to imagine before 2016) and we're still acting like we're the king of the hill and the world should give us another pass? I don't think so.

So, I can't agree that the Hamas/Oct 6 is a good comparison to (a) our level of participation, and (b) more importantly, the price we're forced to pay.
