Victor Emanuel Rocha was actually born in Colombia and raised in NY but he became a spy for Cuba sometime around 1981 and spent 40 years spying for them on the US while serving as a US diplomat, often in Central America.
Started out under Reagan then served as a Diplomat under Clinton and Bush.
Was caught in 2023, prosecuted in 2024 is in jail now and the Trump admin is making a big deal out of deporting him now.
Oddly they keep leaving out the part of his story that NY Times and others have directly quoted from him, when Cuba got him they literally told him live a normal life and "pretend to be a right wing person because you are much less likely to be caught if you are right wing than if you are left wing."
So the party that goes around calling everyone socialists and communists had an actual Communist country telling spies to pretend to be right wing because nobody would notice them if they were.
