NBC news does a long story about how BBB cut millions from SNAP and so many of them are just outright incompetence and cruelty.
One woman lost 600 a month in SNAP, when she finally got an answer as to why after months of waiting she had to line up, and was told she had to prove that the birthday present of cash her dad sent her via Zelle was indeed a one time birthday present and not a regular cash payment. So she needed a letter from her dad asserting that, and until then she would not get her benefits. They cut SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH, because her dad gave her a birthday present>
Another was told she wasn't actually disabled because she wasn't federally designated as such even though she hsa multiple doctors statements that stated she can't physically do the cleaning job she used to do because she's 62 and has too many health issues to do it.
A 79 year old was cut off because she's not working, at 79.
