When I moved into the area, it seemed an impossible task. My daughter lived by a subway in D.C., and it was great. Now I can experience the same convenience.
Party at the La Brea station! There will be festivities today (12-4) with food booths, info kiosks with the usual suspects, and dancing lessons. And it's FREE. What a deal—I can finally learn how to dance just because my subway is opening. What a county. What a state. What a city.
By the way, there is also a station by the museums. And if you haven't checked it out lately, most of the renovation for the museum corridor has been completed. The museums look great, although I can't figure out why they are letting the pampas grass overtake the tar pits. Poor baby elephant—she can't see her dying mother... maybe that's a good thing?
