very clearly, next election and the next few after that will not be about restoring things to normal but to rebuild a better society from ground up.
To me, that even puts the utility of the Democratic Party in question. What good are they at this point other than being the utilitarian non-Republican option that will help maybe slow down the collapse. I don't see things getting better with the Democratic Party, only the rate of degradation slowing down. A stopgap measure until we can gather around an actual solution that does not involve 3 yards of duct tape.
