From "The Economist's" daily briefing
"Vladimir Putin reportedly asked Russian oligarchs to donate to the country’s dwindling budget. According to the Financial Times, Russia’s president is determined to carry on fighting in Ukraine despite the financial strain. Defence spending increased to 15.6trn roubles ($186.2bn) in 2025, around 7% of GDP. Russia’s billionaires are unlikely to refuse Mr Putin’s 'request'."
So, ask all your billionaire buddies to at least fund your $200-billion supplemental funding request for the Iran war. But don't sit by the phone waiting for it to ring.
Of course during the same call you could advise them not to stand to close to any open windows in high-rise buildings.
Re-elect a clown, expect a circus.
