what's outside of the simulation, what it's a simulation of, and what methodology you can use to establish it either way when every measurement you take can argued to be a simulation in turn.
It seems to me to be a fruitless avenue to emotionally invest in.
It does, however, sound like exactly the kind of thing that folks who are incapable of seeing other humans as creatures of free will would be gravitating towards. Just my hot take, probably.
