Was 17 to 19% in 2000, now it is 28%

Based on Gallup polling, the percentage of US adults identifying as liberal has increased significantly over the past three decades, reaching a high of 28% in 2025 (reported in January 2026), compared to approximately 17% to 19% around the year 2000.
