Japan's first-ever female Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, visited the White House today and met with Trump, Vance, Rubio, Hegseth, and others in the Oval Office. A large press contingent was also there. CBS reports that a Japanese reporter asked Trump why he did not tell any allies before attacking Iran. Trump's astonishing response:
We didn't tell anybody about it, because we wanted surprise. [voice raised, emphatically going on...] Who knows better about surprise than JAPAN? [uncomfortable laughter from some ] Why didn't you tell ME about Pearl Harbor? Okay? Right?
