Yeah I've been watching some stuff on Youtube about the guy and I guess yesterday people were saying the pic of him with Trump that's all over now is from last year when Trump showed up to offer him "support". The article pointed out Trump literally has said he hated to pay OT and would bring in other workers rather than pay OT, which is opposite of what the Union wants.
Also has been pointed out repeatedly by analysts, one of the chief complaints of the ILA is they were forced to work through the entire first year of the pandemic, they got sick, they died, but they couldn't shut down. They want to be compensated for it now, the big companies made a killing that year as everyone was ordering online, but the dockworkers were stuck in a contract and only got the mandated raise.
All of that happened when Trump was POTUS, not Biden. In fact it's why the ILA endorsed Biden in 2020.
