There is a significant lag from port to retail

Right now ports are receiving stuff for Christmas. I would not expect immediate shortages

The recovery period works in the unions favor, as port backlogs cost shipping companies big time with idled ships, then when the ports reopen they have to pay the dockworkers overtime to catch up. And longshoreman contracts contain really expensive overtime provisions.
