1,300 ports around the world only 63 are fully automated. The port of Los Angeles is fully automated. In those ports cranes and equipment to move containers around is fully automated. The union is fighting that.

Surprisingly, I think I read that when the port of LA was automated it only eliminated 5% of the jobs but the unions still fight it. It's going to be a real sticking point unless the ports agree to pay workers for not working.
