Bring up the vile racism of Higgins or Trump and somehow “LBJ was the most racist” pops up in their nerve gangle.
It’s stupid for multiple reasons: it doesn’t deny or defend Trump/GOP disgraceful and disgusting racism. They are flat out campaigning on 14 words.
It also displays an astonishing level of stupidity and ignorance. “LBJ was the most racist” is an idiotic thing to say. He passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights act and signed them into law. Did he do or say racist things at some point time? No doubt.
But only an ignoramus if unimaginable stupidity would posit that he was the “most racist President” given the all the other competitors for that title.
More racist than Woodrow Wilson? Nope. Or Andrew Jackson (who Trump worships)? Not a chance.
John Tyler, a slave owner who late betrayed his country by siding with the Confederacy? Or Polk? James Buchanan? Never.
Let alone Trump and Nixon.
