1. He was a piece of sh*t.
2. His killing was a morally abhorrent act.
If your world view is based on the proposition that people who are pieces of sh*t don't deserve to be alive, obviously these two propositions are in contradiction. But if you're a normal person and not a psychopath, there is no inconsistency here. Both can be correct. Being a piece of sh*t doesn't mean you deserve to be killed.
People who genuinely can't hold these two thoughts in mind for any person in the world are saying more about themselves than those of us who can.
