It's not on the scale of Lincoln, but in terms of a person who moved the conversation on the right, he's pretty high up.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for Malcolm X, but perhaps he is a better parallel for the right.
He's not someone middle conservatives are proud of.
He did move young conservative men who were not a demographic that was typically conservative previously.
In terms of scale of impact, I doubt anyone will be teaching Kirk's writings 10 years of now, where as Malcolm X's Biography and speeches are essential writings for anyone studying issues of race on the left.
