I met Klein 20+ years ago. He was aloof and ambitious, but whatever.
He decried elite centrist political writers with a national audience, but he also wanted to become a writer with a national audience because he thought he would be better at it. Now that he has a slot as an insider and a national platform, he doesn't want to endanger that and since national media is increasingly being taken over Conservative billionaires he is changing his tune so as not to lose his place. Maybe eventually he will will the new Alan Colmes until the capitialist class realize that a new Alan Colmes is of no worth to them, any more than the old Alan Colmes was.
