Mother works with people with disabilities, posts regularly on social media went to U of Utah. Father was with the sheriffs office for 27 years, is a registered Republican and voted for Trump in the past not clear who he voted for in 2024. Tyler is apparently the oldest of 3 brothers.
Dad said he had become more political and did not like Kirk, had said at a family dinner one night Kirk would be speaking in Utah soon but obviously didn't say he was going to shoot him. The family had a history in the military and Tyler had been around guns his whole life, the mom had pics on her FB of him and his brothers as kids all with guns.
The speculation is from stuff he'd posted online he himself was if anything ANTI gay, the if you can read this you're gay comment was not an endorsement of LGBTQ.
