My dad was an engineer for decades and had tons of patents. There's so many issues with patents that an AI is going to miss. It's VERY common for companies to let management put their name on a patent and then during a patent dispute it gets called out and the patent gets voided. So for years now in Silicon Valley you have much more scrutiny on who's on the patent, but AI isn't going to know why it's unusual to have the same managers name on 8 patents.
And if they're all working from home that means they don't live anywhere near a patent office. So either Trump pays to move them all(ha ha) or as you said mass quitting.
