The scary thing about the impact of the tariffs, and there's NO way this can't happen, isn't his initial market crash, it's the inflation that's about to hit. That'll lead to a really ugly downward spiral of reduced consumer spending and layoffs.
On the bright side though, once that kicks in, it won't just affect us high falutin' elitists with 401(k)s. The deplorables, the swath that don't have 401(k)'s but DO have to buy groceries at the Piggly Wiggly and pickup trucks and jorts somewhere, they're going to feel some pain.
