There was another news story about the decision-making process behind the attacks on the Houthis.
The leaks showed us the weird priorities of the Trump Administration officials. Upon reading the Signal conversations, it seemed as if there was one group of people (the Marco Rubio camp) that wanted to hold off initiating the attacks at this time, as they were concerned about blowback to our European allies. Another group (the Hegseth camp) wanted to proceed asap, in order to enable Trump to claim credit for the attacks.
In other words, one of the principal objectives of the attack was to generate publicity for Donald Trump.
I believe that’s big story in itself. But of course, the nuances of decision-making got lost within the larger story of the incredibly stupid security breaches….
