Back when South Korea was under a dictatorship, the US was a popular destination for dissidents even though the US supported the regime. The dissidents freely spoke against the dictatorship and the US government. Yes, the US government that provided a safe haven for them. They didn't even say thank you. That was the beauty of free speech. And South Korea didn't even call itself "the only democracy in Asia" or some shit like that. Where is Chuck Schumer and other pro Israel Democrats on this? Is he going to come out and say, I am as pro Israel, but this is not right? Of course not. They are more beholden to AIPAC than our democracy.
