I'm approaching each police officer as either a full on MAGA agent or an instrument of MAGA one way or another.
There is an advantage in having grown up elsewhere in that I have never been under the illusion that the police is "our friend" and that they are there to "protect us".
Or the military for that matter. Folks are going to be have a serious conceptual crisis when they find out when the military rank and file start showing signs of MAGA as well.
We're living in an age where a third world cynical b*stard can prove to be a sage or something for just having learned a different set of lessons growing up.
