with it. His response will be to step up cooperation and facilitation of Russia's acts.
Regarding the article - it's weird to me that nations are p#ssyfooting around on these things. You've got drones surveilling important infrastructure assets? Take them down. Quietly. Who cares if they are in international waters? The clearly were up to no good. Knock them down, grab the ones you can, and see what information you can harvest from them.
When we took down the Chinese "weather balloon" after we let it cross the continent and hover over/surveil military bases, the Chinese cried about us taking down their weather balloon for a few days. Then? Nothing. The idea of "naming and shaming"? They can't be serious. Shame? We're talking China, Russia, Iran. What "shame"?
I'm saying that with these drone surveilance devices, you don't have to make a big announcement that Russia/China can react to. Just take them down.
And, clearly the defense of our online infrastructure is sloppy and fairly ineffective. We're probably already screwed by the Solarwinds hack. But, ya, we should be shoring up our online security wrt anything related to the military or infrastructure. And, we should be hacking Russia and China's systems to enable us to shut down those countries' critical infrastructure.
And, we should be ready for any of our satellites related to national security to be neutralized.
