The article I read said there's some backup plan that apparently COULD allow them to go forward without a speaker.
I think it would be hilarious if on Jan 6, Harris refuses to certify and says my understanding is it's my job to send the votes back to the states for certification.
At which point the people that lied about 2020 and what power Pence had for the last 4 years would have to admit that the VP doesn't actually have that power and that Harris HAS to certify the election or she's breaking the law. Will never happen but would be hilarious if they did it.
