Fos is not that.
After living "the way it should be" and "the way it shouldn't be", it's hard to settle for "the way it shouldn't be"
Guys are bailing at the 1st opportunity.
They're good soldiers. And good politicians. They're smart. They know that dissing the coaches does them no favors. So they bit their tongues. Said nice things about the coaches.
But their real feelings are demonstrated by their feet. Feet don't lie.
Why did these guys continue to play hard?
That's easy. Once you're in the season, you MUST seize the opportunity to make plays. To put good stuff on film. If you want to get an nfl shot, you have to have film. If you want to get picked up by another program, you have to have good film.
Football is the ultimate team game. Every guy, all 11, have to execute to make a positive play. So every guy has a vested interest in getting their job done on each play.
If you're good enough to be in the Ucla roster, you're good enough to have dreamed of playing in the nfl. So every guy can relate. That's why receivers would go into traffic to make a catch. Why a titan would bowl a guy over for an extra yard. Why a back would blunt tf out of a blitzing linebacker. Ok... that shiit didn't happen this year. TJ and Keegan were pure dogshiit at blitz pick up.
