For me, it was most disappointing cause it happened after the Michigan-Ohio State game.
That game is traditionally a fist fight, but one built on mutual respect.

Through the Woody Hayes and Bo years, 1969-78, both coaches demanded that their players show respect for the opponent in the rivalry game. Personal foul/late hit penalties were not tolerated by the coaches.

Prior to Saturday's game, Urban Meyer said he hated everything about Michigan, but he would never disrespect the Wolves or tolerate such behavior by his players or coaches.

By today's standards, that's very old-school.

There have been other fights over flag plantings in college football this season. It's juvenile, it usually turns ugly and it's probably something that the NCAA is going to have to legislate out of today's game.
