At few points in the second half of the four losses could you say we were really a threat to win the game. Scoring points on O still feels like finding water in the desert. We've already seen how unranked teams can give a highly ranked team all they can handle or even win. We haven't seen that with UCLA this year. It was just more like "Oh, it wasn't THAT bad".
How much improvement will we see when the team is no longer riding the high of playing some marquee programs? We will find out these next two weeks, as the next two opponents have no pedigree whatsoever.
You could see UCLA look better against weaker teams. Or they could just as easily come out very flat against hungrier, better coached teams and get smoked.
