agree with you. I think our two deep LBs are decent - Oladejo and Medrano have been pretty good at times. They are limited by what else we don't have - our defensive backfield needs to be protected by a good pass rush and we lack a good pass rush. But imo LB is not our problem.
Overall, an old friend keeps emailing me to comment that when you pit your three stars against a top teams' four and five stars, what we saw today is what is going to happen to you again and again. Chip's recruiting - don't compete for the highly rated prospects, just get three stars and coach them up over several years to where they're competitive. But in today's game, the transfer portal and NIL money mean the other teams are taking the most talented players who already have a couple or three years under their belts and reloading every year while you are still waiting and a very athletic player with three years behind him is going to beat a nice average player with the same experience most of the time.
