Maybe you think the new pac is > AAC, but some of that could be attributable to your regional bias. Also, why would Memphis want to increase its travel so much? They are the only out of region school. Economically, the travel for them is probably offset by any additional TV $$. Memphis is probably just as relevant in AAC as Pac and much less travel.

Long terms the answer for Memphis is figure out what happens when the Acc explodes. Memphis is a possible addition to a reconfigured ACC. Memphis definitely has some hoops pedigree. Baskerville Holmes. Keith Lee, Derrick Rose, Penny and is probably one of the top football programs that isn’t a part of a left conference. I’d bet on the ACC over the new pac 12 especially with the travel issues.
