OT: UNLV and NIL

I was wondering how long it would take to see how NIL impacts a school like UNLV since it was a program on the rise. It took 3 games. UNLV football for the first time in school history is ranked in the top 25. They were in conversation (I know it's very early for that) for possible CFP spot and the starting QB now has quit the team.

In theory, I get the NIL. Unlike the NFL where you have a legitimate union and contracts, college sports just feels like it's going to be a free for all and only a small percentage of programs that will be able to hang in over time.
