How overrted is LSU?

If one considers point spreads as the general opinion of the strength of a program, then LSU is one of the most overrated teams in the country. They are 0-4 against the spread (ATS) missing covering by an average of 10 points. They got beat by a now exposed USC team, beat Nicholls by only 23 as a 48 point favorite, had a game handed to them by South Carolina and struggled to beat powerhouse UCLA by 14 as a 24 point favorite.

Only four power conference teams are 0-4 ATS and only N.C. State has missed covering by more points.

Of course I predicted this several weeks ago:

It's a mystery how LSU got rated so high before the season. Mainly reputation and being an SEC team? They lost Jayden Daniels whose 5000 yards of total offense was 70% of the team's total. They also lost their two 1000 yard receivers and their second leading rusher to Daniels. They brought in another 1000 yard receiver from a smaller program who caught passes for all of 19 yards against USC. Defense? They were #110 in total defense last season and returned about half the starters, some transfers who weren't full time starters at their previous schools and some subs .
