One of the local papers speculated the P12 may have felt they didn't need UNLV because they already had the market. So the speculation is Vegas should take the P12 Championship game and the P12 basketball tournament away since the P12 is not the same conference.
Gotta love business deals. Don't know if this is true or not, but wouldn't surprise me at all. UNLV may have just gotten more attractive with the threat of losing those sporting events.
My guess was Nevada may be a package deal, but no one at UNLV seems to support that in any way. They may be bumming when this is all done. Personally, I think Utah State is a good pick. I think UTSA could also be a good pick.
College sports is really getting crazy.
