You are on the road and a huge underdog.
There was nothing to lose by going for it. LSU took the punt and scored. So they go 50 yards to score instead of 95. It didn't change anything.
Oklahoma went for it 4th and 3 from the 50. But in that case it's different. You are in a big time game. A lot on the line. Better to punt in that situation.
Tennessee didn't score on that drive anyway.
If you are going to be a P*ssy and lie down because the excuse is they don't have an OL, then why play the game?
The general idea of football is to win the game. Not keep the score close.
