As I understand, almost every college sports department loses money except for a few if the very top programs.
Not sure what the path forward. It might just be for UCLA to scale back its sporting endeavors which would be sad given its glorious history, arguably the greatest of any University but professional and UCLA's ambitions to be a top academic institution don't seem to align.
Frenk is an interesting hire after Block and Carnesale. Young was a great Chancellor for sports.
