All because we didn’t want to lose this all-American laden roster. It was gonna be a rebellion if we didn’t hire Foster (whispers, he already left UCLA and took a job in Vegas to be the RB coach for the Raiders).
It’s hard to define the criteria Jarmond was focused on to land on DeShaun Foster. Please don’t say cheap because we were paying Chip north of 6mm a year so the $$ was there. It may not be top of the market, but a 6mm salary ain’t bad in LA. You shouldn’t have to twist too many arms to get someone competent at that level. Plus, revenue was about to double (at least) primarily due to football. What criteria did Karmond emphasis to conclude Foster is our best option.
We may never be Ohio State, but we shouldn’t be Indiana.
