Mora was a pretender. His divorce had nothing to do with Ucla football results. He bluffed his way through, riding throught the NFL on nepotism and when he at last got here, he whiffed continually on talent evaluation and suffered constant staff turnover due to his lack of vision and leadership. His golden boy, Rosen, proved to be something of a bust here.

Once Neuheisel's talent left, so did Mora's successes.

Smith would've been great but one linebacker isn't going to have the kind of impact you suggest.
