None were hot coaching prospects at the time. And not only does UCLA make bad hires, but we also wait too long to fire them. And in many instances extend them so that the inevitable firings are more painful!
UCLA Athletics is run by idiots. Our big donor, Wasserman, is also an idiot. And the idiots we hire to run things are not held accountable by anyone. Guerrero was allowed to hire 4 (!) football coaches. What self-respecting football school would ever allow that? Guys get fired for making one bad hire.
