The original question posed in this thread is a good one. What is the explanation for the play call? What was to be gained? Does Foster or EB even realize how ridiculous it was?
I've seen coaches get creamed for just handing the ball off to run out the clock in that situation, as opposed to taking a knee. But who drops a struggling QB into the end zone like that with 30 seconds left, without having scored thus far in the game? It's not like we have Randy Moss at receiver who can win a jump ball at any time.
