NFL teams are all into the barbell paradigm. Wet expensive players and very cheap players and little in between. That’s why 5th-7th rounders and UDFAs are so much more prevalent today. I keep wondering how this will affect 2-4the rounders. They better show out sooner or they are gonna be Dked earlier than they have historically.

Mora and Neuheisel were excellent recruiters and utilized UCLAs comparative advantage — recruiting moreso than most. If you recall Mlra had a really good coaching/.recruiting staff when he took over with Klemm (who’s star fell quickly) Meat etc. Mora never seemed to get over Jeff Ulbrichs leaving and Spanos. Also his offense cratered when Mazzone (??) left.

I had the same reaction as you when looking at UCLA. Our players looked like JV players compared to the other teams I watched. The players from Georgia, Clemson, ND A&M looked like they were playing a different sport. LSU and Sc also looked much bigger and ready to play big boy ball. Maybe it had something to do with the production value and the venue. The icla-Hawaii game looked like a high school production compared to the other big games I watched.
