A rhetorical question about Ramsey. Everyone knows he was at UCLA making Lynn look good along with a healthy Latu and teammates with another year of experience.
Two years ago, through the first seven games, the defense's performance was very good, surrendering 25.9 points and 373 yards per game as UCLA went 6–1 and was ranked as high as No. 9 nationally. However, DC Bill McGovern missed the next five games while dealing with cancer, and the defense regressed, allowing 31.8 points and 438 yards per game. So the 89th rank in total defense in 2022 is misleading.
