certainly not. Close competition but Flores did well.

The equating o two kickers - one with a record of 2-6 in college FGs, the other a record of 7-7 - didn't make much sense to me. Plus Bhagdani had the better - not to mention more accurate - leg in that game. But we didn't observe months of practices. as the coaches did.

Perhaps in the long run, Flores fizzles and Loya beats him out later on. Perhaps. But Flores appears quicker and a solid player - have to wait and see. But it appeared that Flores was successful in this game so looking to accuse the coaches of "malpractice" based on playing him over Loya isn't called for imo.

Moreover, Loyha did get some snaps on the field - could it be that he - like some of our other receivers - just wasn't able to get quick separation to present a target for Garbers in the short time Garbs had to get passes off? That shortness of time seemed mostly because of the inability of the O Line to effectively pass protect and perhaps also somewhat on our OC calling so many slowly developing plays - deeper QB drops and longer routes (likely trying to take advantage of UH's playing without a deep safety covering the middle of the field.
