There are no more sure bets than Foster is gonna fail. This is probably the worst hire in UCLA’s history. I can’t think of any similar poor hires in history. I guess Gerry Faust comes to mind, but st least he had sub was as a HC somewhere. There is zero evidence that Foster has the qualities necessary to succeed as a head coach at a power 4 conference. All the evidence since his hire proves otherwise — his disaster at media day, his presser yesterday, his recruiting prowess so far (I do understand he was left in a terrible position since Chipper left him a desiccated corpse) and game 1.
The only argument I heard about hiring him is to retain the current roster. I laughed then and even harder now after seeing them in action.
I don’t blame foster. He’d be a fool to turn down the opportunity. He was about to be a RB coach for a terrible NFL job. The problem is Jarmond. He’s a disaster.
